Ernie has over 30 years in the industry and was promoted to President of Designed Alloys in 2011. In his spare time, he enjoys travel and fine dining.

Mike joined Designed Alloy’s sister company, Alloy Rod Products in 2000 and was recently promoted to Vice President of Designed Alloys. He is the proud father of 5 children. Mike enjoys his children’s team sports as well as outdoor activities, including bicycling, camping and hiking.

John joined Designed Alloys in 2011 and has 21 years of international experience in the metals industry. He and his wife have two married sons and two grandchildren.  In his spare time, John enjoys playing golf and works with the Countryside Association, which advocates on behalf of disabled persons and their families and supports them in their efforts to live and work successfully in their chosen community.

After 17 years of service to Designed Alloys, Mike retired from his position as VP – Sales & Marketing effective August 1, 2011.  He remains with the company in a limited consulting capacity.

Jim has been in the metals industry for 35 years and joined Designed Alloys in 2001. He has been married for 42 years and in his spare time, he likes to golf.

Mark joined Designed Alloys in 2005 and has 30 years experience in sales, technical service and quality control in the metal finishing industry. Born in Dearborn, Michigan he graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree. His hobbies include reading, traveling and enjoys watching professional hockey and collegiate football.

Matt joined the Designed Alloys sales team in 2010. He initially attended college through a Soccer scholarship. While an injury ended his athletic career, he continued academic endeavors and earned a Business degree from Miami University of Ohio. Matt likes traveling,hanging out with friends and occasionally enjoys a fine cigar.

Rich is a veteran in the industry and joined Designed Alloys in 2000. He and his wife enjoyed raising their 2 daughters and a son. Now, Rich likes to spend his free time hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and playing softball. He can also be found belting out a tune on center stage at Karaoke Night

Bill joined Designed Alloys in 2009 and brought with him over 20 years experience in stainless and nickel-base commodities. He is a Metallurgist with a degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Bill is married and has 3 children. He enjoys his kid’s sports activities as well as fishing, golf, history and professional football.

Ashley joined Designed Alloys in 2010 after initially becoming interested in metals as a sculptor, assembling her creations by welding. Her artistic talents also include painting murals. In her spare time, she enjoys volleyball, boating, fishing, camping, riding her motorcycle and attending classic car and bike shows. She also enjoys working on cars and is getting more comfortable under the hood.

Tim came to us from the Automotive Machinery industry in 2007. He is the father of 3 daughters and a son and enjoys attending their activities and hobbies. He also enjoys the outdoors with family and friends, especially when it involves traveling to new places, camping, canoeing and fishing. Tim is proud veteran of the US Army, is active in the community volunteering for local organizations and has also been coaching youth club wrestling for almost 20 years.

Greg came to Designed Alloys in 2010 with 16 years of experience. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in Materials Science and also has an MBA from Davenport University. Greg and his wife have a son who is 4 years old. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, snowmobiling and curling.

Chris has a business degree from Butler University. He has been in the industry for 12 years, joined Designed Alloys in 2010 and is responsible for our scrap operation in Chattanooga.

Steve graduated from Illinois Benedictine College in 1986 with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.   He joined Designed Alloys in 2008.  Steve and his family enjoy hiking the mountains out West and boating on the Illinois River.
